Holiday Recipes: White Chocolate Macadamia Dream Cookies

This holiday season The Shield will be featuring a series of recipes for your holiday dinners. The recipes will be featured weekly.

Ingredients List:

2 sticks salted butter
2 large eggs
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 1/2 cups flour
1 bag white chocolate chips
4 oz chopped macadamia nuts

Start by pre-heating the oven at 350 degrees. Soften 2 sticks of butter. In a large mixing bowl, blend together the 2 softened sticks of butter, 2 large eggs, 3/4 cup of sugar, 3/4 cup of brown sugar,  1 1/2 teaspoons of vanilla extract, and 1/2 teaspoon of almond extract. Once thoroughly blended, add 1 teaspoon of salt, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, and slowly mix in 2 1/2 cups of sifted flour. Mix dough thoroughly, then add 1 package of white chocolate chips and 4 ounces of chopped macadamia nuts. Fold chips and nuts into dough mixing by hand if necessary. Using a teaspoon, scoop out rounded spoonfuls of mixture onto un-greased cookie sheet. Space 2 inches apart for approx 12 cookies per sheet. Bake for 11-12 minutes or until edges are golden brown. Remove and allow to cool on a vented drying rack or a sheet of wax paper. Recipe makes approx. 3-4 dozen cookies.
