On March 9, 2017, the class of 2019 received their sophomore pins. These pins symbolize many different things to all Mercy girls, starting with the symbolism of becoming an upperclassmen. I reached out to some girls in the class of 2019, and here is what they had to say about their pins.
“To me, my pin means a sense of growth and accomplishment as I have worked my way through almost two years of Mercy. It also establishes a sense of leadership as a step is made into becoming an upperclassman and developing unity with all my other sisters, both current and alumnae.”- Sarah Coffman ’19
“My Mercy pin means that I am officially becoming a part of the Mercy community. Even though I am a sophomore and I attended Mercy for freshman year, my pin is a tangible symbol of being included in the “Mercy girl” community.”- Kristiana Dyson ’19
“To me my Mercy pin means growing up. We are no longer the newbies of the school; we are becoming upperclassmen and are going to be held more responsible for what we do. We are going to be the leaders of the school and I for one cannot wait!”- Marissa Lesko ’19
Congratulations to all the sophomores who received their pins!
