Makeup is truly an amazing gift. It opens doors of creativity, with the infinite eyeshadow colors, and the never- ending types of foundations. But with the never-ending aisles of Sephora, and the new makeup that we just have to have, our wallets are not as happy as we are. Below are some makeup dupes that I have tested out myself -whether I bought it myself, or took it out of my sister’s room without her knowledge- and can say, with confidence, that they are nearly identical.
Maybelline Baby Skin ($5.99) vs. Benefit Porefesional ($31.00)
Loreal True Match Lumi Foundation ($9.89) vs. Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation ($64.00)
Maybelline Better Skin concealer ($7.19) vs. Urban Decay Concealer ($28.00)
Maybelline master fix setting powder ($8.99) vs. Make up forever HD micro finish powder ($38.00)
NYX eyebrow pencil ($9.99) vs. Anastasia brow wiz ($21.00)
For eyeshadow, I don’t believe I have ever found an eyeshadow palette that is an exact dupe for a higher end palette, but there are many brands that I swear by when it comes to cheaper palettes. Bh Cosmetics, Coastal Scents, and Colour Pop are all incredible brands that offer cheap, amazing palettes. My personal favorite is the Carli Bybel Palette from Bh Cosmetics.
NYX Matte Liquid Liner ($6.99) vs. ANYTHING
I swear by this eyeliner and I reach for it over Stila, Urban Decay, Mac, and any other eyeliner you could think of.
Elf Baked Highlighters ($3-4) vs. MAC Highlighters ($33)
Colour Pop liquid lipsticks ($6) vs. Kat Von D liquid lipsticks ($20) and Kylie Cosmetics liquid lipsticks ($29; this also comes with a lip liner)
