If your curiosity hasn’t yet compelled you to take a peek behind those closed bathroom doors, you’ve come to the right place. I sat down with Ms. Mary Ella Marion to ask her some general questions about the new bathrooms, and I also got the opportunity to go inside the bathroom and ask Mr. Bob Breyer some questions. Mr. Breyer is the man who is overseeing the renovation.
The only thing that remains the same with these bathrooms is the floor. Everything else is being completely redone. The walls are blue and white (exact blue pictured below) and the colors compliment each other very nicely. The lights are oval shaped and they are LED, energy-efficient, automatic lights. They are bright and make the bathroom look very light and spacious. A new heater will be installed against the windows.
A new feature in the bathroom is that everything is automated: the toilets, the water, the soap, and the hand dryers. Even better, the sinks are constructed in a way that everything is right there. The automatic soap dispenser, the faucet (of course) and the automatic hand dryer are all part of the sink. Each sink will have its own individual vertical mirror as well.
Ms. Marion’s favorite part is the two new water stations. She says, “The girls love them, as well as the faculty, and they are saving the environment.”
Now, seniors, have no fear. The first floor bathroom will be finished approximately by May 13th. The renovations on the second floor bathroom will begin when that one is completed, and will be finished over the summer.
